I’m Tessa Jay, a creative, and a filmmaker based in South Africa, with a passion for storytelling through the lens of film. From a young age, I was drawn to the camera, using my parents’ old VH camcorder to make “documentaries” about my pets and people closest to me. That early obsession with capturing moments turned into a lifelong love for film and storytelling.
My style is deeply nostalgic—if I had to describe my videography and editing approach, it’s all about evoking warmth and timelessness. Whether I’m documenting everyday life or crafting cinematic narratives, I aim to capture the fleeting beauty in moments that often go unnoticed.
